Rally 2024

 Rally

On Wednesday, May 22 of this year, the science rally was held in which all high school groups participated.

Two games were held, twister and sandbag throwing. The first one we played was sandbags, in this game points were distributed depending on your aim. In twister they were eliminating each person who fell, this game was more difficult since everyone was very good and did not fall easily.

A trivia was also held, in which questions from the three subjects involved in the rally were answered: Mathematical reasoning, chemistry and mathematics. This part was a little poorly organized since several teams were left without sheets and without the opportunity to earn points.

Saul:

My team was made up of Esteban, Daniel, Nestor, Adrian, Alexander and me. We were all confident that we could win, since we had a very good team, and although we managed to win both games, they were not enough to take the victory. That aside, I think we all had a lot of fun.

In the sandbag game the two players on my team were Esteban and Adrian, we had to compete against team 6 and fortunately we managed to win thanks to Esteban, who scored 50 points.

The sandbag game was followed by trivia, but unfortunately we couldn't answer the question in time. Later, in twister Adrian passed, and we also managed to win with a great performance, in which he managed to endure the entire time without falling.

This was where it got a little unfair, since we reached the corner of the table, so we couldn't see the problem on the screen, and in the second question we were ignored even though we had already finished.

In my opinion the rally was fun, and we were all able to enjoy some time outside the room, although I think it could have been much better if it had been more organized. I hope the next rallies are better and have more games.

Isaac:

My opinion on the blog is that the truth is that it was a little unfair but we were able to balance ourselves, in the first game Mildreth and I participated, in the sandbag game, we won by over 50 points, in the next activity it was where I say that it is unfair since, there was no table or papers or enough tables for all the players, we were left without tables, and in that activity we got 0, then the twistler activity followed, Leo participated in that activity and lost in the first round, then in the next activity we almost ran out of leaves but someone gave us one, in that game we came in first place, and that was our position on the table, we did well.

Leonardo:

Rally: I entered the Rally with Valerie, Isaac, Michelle, Mildred and Fer, but we had some problems with the organization of the teams at the beggining, but we finally got the team and we started the first challenge, which consisted in throwing a bag of sand into some shapes to gain points, then, Isaac and Fer went and won, after, we went to a large table, where we were supposed to answer some questions related to Math Reasoning and Math, but they didn't gave us something to answer, like a sheet, and the teachers were ignoring us, so we couldn't answer the questions.

Then, we played Twister and I went and almost immediately failed, after, we went again to the table and answered correctly a chemistry related question and won

OPINION: I think this Rally could have been better, It wasn't very organized, the challenges were boring, the teachers didn't seem in the mood and the students were forced to participate, I hope the next Rally will be better.
